About Argyll, Edmonton
Argyll, originally known as Edmonton City Heights, is a quiet residential neighborhood in Southeast Edmonton. Nestled between two branches of the Mill Creek Ravine, the community offers scenic green spaces and outdoor recreation opportunities.
Annexed by Edmonton in 1913, Argyll remained largely undeveloped until the 1950s, when it was re-plotted and developed into a predominantly single-family residential area. Most of its homes were built between 1946 and 1960. The neighborhood was later renamed in honor of Sir Douglas Sutherland Campbell, the ninth Duke of Argyll and Marquess of Lorne. Argyll is bordered by Hazeldean to the west and Avonmore to the east.
