Named by Business and Construction Materials Inc. (now Genstar), the neighbourhood follows the Castle Downs tradition of castle-themed names. Beaumaris is a famous castle in Wales.
The neighbourhood’s design reflects this theme, with homes surrounding Beaumaris Lake and Castle Keep Road creating the illusion of a fortress and moat.
