About Hillview, Edmonton
Hillview is one of Mill Woods’ 27 neighbourhoods, developed primarily in the 1970s with some expansion into the 1980s. It is located north of the Mill Woods Hospital and features a mix of single-detached homes, row housing, and apartments.
Bounded by major roadways, its interior streets follow curvilinear and keyhole patterns to balance accessibility and traffic flow. Walkways promote pedestrian and bicycle travel. The neighbourhood has two elementary schools, park sites, and a shopping plaza.
Hillview is part of the Woodvale Community League and was named for its location on the only hill in Mill Woods.
