About Terrace Heights, Edmonton
Terrace Heights, a southeast Edmonton neighborhood, is bordered by Wayne Gretzky Drive, 98 Avenue, Capilano Mall, and Fulton Ravine Park. Close to Downtown, the University, and river valley trails, it offers a quieter alternative to neighboring Forest Heights, Holyrood, and Ottewell.
Originally part of early Edmonton river lots, Terrace Heights developed slowly until annexation in 1954 and 1959. The area consists of two low-density residential sections divided by a high-density corridor along 101 Avenue. Housing includes older bungalows, row houses, and apartments. The neighborhood is named after a small 1912 subdivision that was redeveloped in the 1950s.
